SELL YOUR DIGITAL AND FILM cameras.

Most of what comes through our door is digital — DSLRs, mirrorless bodies, and the compact point-and-shoots that have come roaring back into demand. We buy film gear too. Whatever the format, the lenses are usually worth more than people assume, so send those as well.

What We Know

DIGITAL, FILM, GLASS AND RETRO TECH.

The single most common mistake we see is someone valuing the camera body and treating the lenses as accessories thrown in for free. In plenty of bags the glass is worth several times the body it is attached to. Here is what we buy:

DSLRs & MIRRORLESS

Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic and Olympus digital bodies. Working condition, shutter count and what is included all factor in.

COMPACT DIGITAL CAMERAS

Point-and-shoot digicams, including early-2000s models. This category has climbed sharply in the last few years — do not assume an old compact is worthless.

LENSES

Every mount, digital and film. Fast primes and sought-after zooms are frequently the most valuable item in the bag.

FILM CAMERAS

35mm SLRs, rangefinders and medium format. Still a real market, just a smaller share of what we see than digital.

FLASHES & ACCESSORIES

Speedlights, battery grips, filters, bags and tripods — worth including in a lot rather than leaving behind.

HI-FI & RETRO TECH

Vintage receivers, amplifiers, turntables, speakers, radios and unusual consumer electronics.

Valuation

WHAT ACTUALLY MOVES THE PRICE.

Camera gear is judged on function as much as appearance. A scuffed body that works properly is usually worth more than a pristine one that does not. Here is what we check:

01
The lenses first
We assess glass before bodies. Fast primes and desirable zooms often carry most of the value in a collection, and people routinely hand them over as part of "the camera" without realizing what they are worth on their own.
02
Shutter count on digital bodies
A DSLR is a mechanical device with a rated life. Shutter count is one of the first things a buyer asks for and it materially affects price. If you can find it in the menu or an EXIF reader, tell us — a low count is worth advertising.
03
What is included
Battery, charger, memory card, strap, caps, original box and manual. Missing chargers and batteries are the most common gap and the easiest to fix before selling. Complete kits sell for noticeably more.
04
Sensor, screen and function
For digital: sensor dust or marks, dead pixels, LCD scratches, whether autofocus and image stabilization work. For film: shutter speeds, aperture blades, light seals and battery-compartment corrosion.
05
Fungus and haze in older glass
South Florida humidity is hard on lenses. Shine a light through and look for cloudiness or fine web-like growth. It does not make a lens worthless, but it changes the number, so tell us what you see.
FAQ

COMMON QUESTIONS.

Do you buy digital cameras in Miami?
Yes — digital is the majority of the camera gear we buy. DSLRs, mirrorless bodies and compact point-and-shoots from Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic and Olympus. Send photos of the body, the lenses and everything that came with it for a quote within 24 hours.
Are old digital point-and-shoot cameras worth anything?
More than most people expect. Compact digicams, including early-2000s models, have climbed considerably in the last few years as younger photographers sought out that look. Do not throw an old point-and-shoot in a drawer assuming it is worthless — send a photo.
Does shutter count matter when selling a DSLR?
Yes, quite a lot. The shutter is a mechanical part with a rated lifespan, so buyers treat the count much like mileage on a car. If you can find it through the camera menu or an EXIF reader it is worth telling us, especially if the count is low.
Are my old lenses worth anything on their own?
Often more than the body they are attached to. Fast primes and sought-after zooms hold value well, and many older film-mount lenses are in demand for use on modern digital bodies via adapters. Photograph each lens individually, including the markings on the front ring.
Do you buy cameras that no longer work?
Yes. Non-working bodies have value for parts and repair, and a dead body often still carries a perfectly good lens. Tell us what is wrong if you know — an honest description gets you a fair offer faster than an optimistic one.
Do you buy vintage stereo and hi-fi equipment?
Yes — vintage receivers, amplifiers, turntables and speakers are all things we buy, along with radios and unusual retro electronics. Original boxes, remotes and manuals add value. Larger audio equipment is a good candidate for local pickup rather than shipping.
